Fibroblasting Plasma Pen -  Non-Surgical Lift Procedure

Fibroblast skin tightening is a highly versatile and non-surgical procedure that is stunningly effective in skin tightening and rejuvenation. 'Fibroblasting' revolutionizes the treatment, repair, lifting and rejuvenation of any area of the skin by improving and brightening skin tone, laxity and texture. It also significantly tightens loose skin and dramatically reduce, inflate and plump lines and wrinkles by drastically inducing collagen production and remodeling.
Avoid costly and risky cosmetic surgeries such as eyelid correction. Fibroblast, new revolutionary non surgical lift treatment is highly effective, remarkable alternative to surgery.

No anesthesia required, no cuts, no stitches, minimal risk and side effects, quick & easy procedure, return to work the same day.
Some of the conditions which may be treated by Fibroblast include:
  • eyelid lifting/tightening
  • wrinkle reduction
  • neck tightening
  • reduction of the upper lip wrinkles
  • stretch marks and scars

During the procedure tiny plasma flash also referred as an electrical arc is being discharged from the tip of the Fibroblast handpiece. The tool itself never touches the skin however plasma flash creates a tiny dot upon the contact. There is no cuts, no blood. This innovative technology uses sublimation process, turning solid directly to gas to tighten skin tissue. Targeted tissue sublimate, causing no damage to surrounding areas or deeper skin layers. Further points are applied creating a symmetrical grid over the treatment area. Effects are noticeable right away. Full results become visible after 2-4 weeks. Patient can resume regular activities right away with minimal discomfort.

Fibroblast is virtually painless and doesn’t require anesthesia. Numbing cream is used to minimize discomfort during procedure. Side effects are minimal and complications rare. Carbon crusts, a tiny superficial dots which form directly on the skin are part of normal healing process. Correctly treated with after-cream will cause no threat and fall off 5-7 days after treatment. After-care instructions will be given to a patient following the procedure. It is very important to adhere to our after-care advice.

What Is Fibroblast Skin Tightening?

The Fibroblast Skin Tightening treatment is performed with the use of a medical device used primarily for cosmetic improvements to the skin and its elasticity. The primary action of the device is to tighten loose skin and activate the Fibroblast Cells in the dermis; causing these cells to create high levels of Collagen and Elastin which creates an instant and long term tightening (anti-aging effect).

When the Thermal Energy from the machine is targeted into the dermis it excites the fibroblast cells and causes a greater production of collagen and elastin as well as a superficial micro trauma to the surface of the skin. This micro trauma will cause the body to create fresh new tissue, while the thermal energy from the voltaic arc is acting on the fibroblast cell itself.

During the procedure, tiny plasma flash also known as an electrical arc is being discharged from the tip of the machine hand piece. The tool itself never touches the skin however, the plasma flash creates a tiny dot upon contact. There is no cut or blood. This innovative technology uses a sublimation process, turning solid directly to gas to tighten skin tissue. Targeted tissues sublimate, causing no damage to surrounding areas or deeper skin layers. Further points are applied creating a symmetrical grid over the treatment area. Tightening effects are noticeable right away. The full results become visible after 2-4 weeks. Clients can resume regular activities right away with minimal discomfort. A brief period of social downtime is expected.

The Fibroblast treatment is virtually painless and doesn’t require anesthesia. Numbing cream is used to minimize possible discomfort during the procedure. Side effects are minimal and complications are rare. Carbon crusts, a tiny superficial dots which form directly on the skin are part of normal healing process. Correctly treated with the after-cream, the crusts will fall off within 5-7 days after the treatment. After-care instructions will be given to the client following the procedure and a consultation appointment is required.

There are several applications for the Fibroblast Plasma Pen procedure:
  • EYELIDS
  • CROWSFEET
  • LIP FLIP/LIFT
  • JAWLINE
  • FULLFACE
  • NECKLIFT
  • TUMMY LIFT
  • BELLY BUTTON LIFT
  • ACNE SCARRING
  • PIGMENTATION CORRECTION
  • STRETCH MARK SOFTENING
  • SCARS

How Does It Work?

Under our highly trained aesthetic provider, we use the most advanced state of the art Plasma Pen to generate and discharge flashes of plasma arc to induce thermal disruption to the skin's epidermal layer, causing it to contract and tighten immediately. This micro-trauma stimulates new collagen (neocollagenesis) and helps release and activate essential proteins and growth factors like cytokines and fibroblasts, which makes more collagen than before it was disrupted. Eventually, excess skin dries off to form tiny crusts that fall off like dandruff in just a few days. New collagen is formed over a period of up to 6 months. - Fibroblasts in the dermis are targeted, stimulating collagen and elastin production, which strengthens, plumps, inflates and lifts the structure above over a sustained period of time.
- The inflammatory response and healing process stimulated by Plasma Pen helps prevent the negative behaviors which cause wrinkles
- Regeneration continues - we achieve immediate results which continue to improve even more over coming months
- Results last around 3 years and longer

FAQ - Fibroblasting Plasma Pen Treatments

Fibroblast Plasma Pen  - Frequently Asked Questions

How does Fibroblast Plasma Pen Work?

High-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) lifts and tightens skin for a non-surgical face lift and neck lift.

What is the actual Fibroblast Plasma Pen treatment process?

The ultrasound probe is evenly moved over the treatment areas in order to allow the high intensity focused ultrasound waves to reach the underlying connective tissue and generate the desired skin-tightening effects. The overlying skin layers remain unaffected, which means the lifting can be carried out gently and without a trace. This gentle form of lifting can be used on the entire face to counteract sagging skin. The following areas are ideal for treatment: the neck region, chin, cheeks and eyebrow area. During a session, an individual area can be treated or all areas can be treated at once.

How long does the treatment take?

A single treatment takes between 30 minutes and 2.5 hours, depending on the area to be treated.

How many treatments are necessary?

Generally, excellent results can be achieved after just one HIFU treatment. An additional treatment may be carried out no earlier than 8-12 months after the first. In order to promote collagen growth and regeneration, we recommended the use of special cosmetics. We’re happy to advise you regarding the appropriate products.

Fibrobasting Plasma Pen vs. Cosmetic Surgery?

We perform many of the same sought-after treatments, often with similar effects - just without invasive surgery

- No injectable anesthetic required

- No scalpels, cutting, or ablation of the skin

- No stitches or suturing required

- Very low risk procedure with minimal side effects and very short down times

- Quick and easy procedure with rapid recovery

- No thinning of the skin

- Significant cost savings as compared to comparable alternatives

- Long-lasting results, 3 years or more

How Does a Plasma Pen Treatment compare to Botox and fillers?

Although you cannot truly compare the cost of fillers and botox against plasma treatment (they are complimentary in some ways but not the same – we treat the skin while they primarily treat the muscle) please bear in mind these procedures will require regular and ongoing treatment. A course of fillers in one area will probably cost $200 to $400 per session and the results will only last between 3 and 18 months.
Our results - which are natural - last around 3 years and will probably cost you a fraction of what you’d pay with injectables. Remember too that Plasma Pen is the only treatment outside of Plastic Surgery which can be
performed on the eyelids. Laser, chemical peels and all the other treatments simply cannot be used
for “blepharoplasty”.
That’s just one reason why our Plasma Pen treatment is often compared to plastic surgery as we perform many of the other sought-after treatments (often with similar effects) yet all without the need for costly and invasive surgery. With plasma there is no injectable anesthetic required, no scalpels, no cutting and no ablation of the skin. There’s no stitches or suturing required and no scars (with our device). Plasma Pen by Louise Walsh International is a very quick, easy and low risk procedure with minimal side effects, very short down times and rapid recovery. The same cannot be said for some competitive devices and treatments. There’s no thinning of the skin and it’s more uniform than ablative resurfacing using lasers, for example. There are no asymmetries either and no risks of any over-correction. We present enormous cost savings compared to the alternatives plus long-lasting results of around 3 years.

What is Plasma?

Plasma is a gas made up of positively charged ions from the air. It’s generally created through a cloud of gas (mostly nitrogen) that is magnetized into a beam transmitted from the device. Picture those fun electric balls you have seen as a kid and how it jumps from the base to your finger as you touch the glass.
How is Plasma gas used? Places like fluorescent light bulbs, neon signs and plasma televisions. And now, also as a beauty treatment to reduce aging!
How do these beauty pens create Plasma? Electric energy converts gas from the air into “diatomic molecular nitrogen,” mostly oxygen and nitrogen. It is then transmitted to the skin’s surface in a non-contact way. It literally will not fire if it’s too far away or if it touches the skin.
What does Plasma do for you? Plasma heats and disrupts all the way down to your dermal layer of skin to create micro-trauma to the tissue. The surface is lightly ablated with a “fanning” technique, at which  time the technician creates the little dots in the tissue. Those dots are tiny blood clots with a small scab over the top, which means that unlike with CO2, the tissue is completed closed. This prevents the likelihood of infection risks, making it safer even than Microneedling.
This damage especially targets the “fibroblasts” in the inner part of your dermis. I know, lots of biology here… but keep reading!

Why do you care about Fibroblasts?

Do you remember when you were younger and your face was supple and rounder than it is now (regardless of your age)?
That all comes from this beautiful collagen called type I. It’s a collagen you have TONS of in your youth but is slowly replaced by type III collagen over time. Picture type I collagen as well organized, supple and hearty, while your type III is loose, disorganized and smooshy.
When you stimulate fibroblasts, they get to work creating white blood cells to repair the tissue damage on the surface and recreate lots of nice, healthy collagen type I, transforming you back to your youthful self! They won’t do this work on their own. Most of them lay dormant until you have a wound that needs repair, so the plasma gas actually creates their activity.
It’s in this way that a Fibroblast treatment reverses aging. It also:
  • Forms fresh new surface skin
  • Increases elastin production
  • Removes cellular trash
  • Releases growth factors
  • Actually INCREASES the thickness of skin

Who should NOT have this treatment?

  • No treatment on a port wine stain or birthmark
  • Breastfeeding
  • If you are a Fitzpatrick Skin Type V or VI
  • HemophiliacsHepatitis/HIV/AIDS

  • Pregnancy
  • Hypertrophic or Keloid Scarring occurs
  • No eye treatments if you have Retinal Detachment
  • Vitilago

Who CAN have this treatment but may heal slower:

  • Folks who are anemic
  • If you bruise/bleed easily
  • If you’ve had cataracts
  • You’ve had a corneal abrasion
  • Diabetics will heal slower but can have the procedure
  • If you get cold sores you will want to pre-treat with medication
  • If you have kidney or liver disease you’ll heal slower
  • Same with mitral valve prolapse
  • You shouldn’t treat an area with active eczema or psoriasis

Who CAN have the treatment (with a time delay)

  • Recent Botox or Filler treatments should wait 21 days after to have Plasma Pen
  • There’s a 3 month wait after Bleph surgery or Facelifts/Browlifts
  • If you’ve had chemo or radiation there is a 5 week wait
  • Wait 12 weeks after eye laser surgery
  • If you’ve had Shingles, wait 6 months for treatment
  • There’s a 6 month wait after Accutane use

Any potential side effects?

After treatment, you can immediately resume your normal activities because the skin’s upper layers are not damaged by the high intensity ultrasound. In some cases, slight redness or swelling may occur, which will quickly subside. There may also be a slight sensitivity to touch and light tingling sensation, which can persist for a few weeks. In very rare cases, bruising and temporary local numbness may occur. These side effects disappear after a few days.
